Plan mode vs Act mode

Decide whether Awa proposes an approach first or generates immediately.

Updated 2026-06-11

The composer has two modes. Act mode is the default: you ask, Awa generates. Plan mode makes Awa lay out its approach first — shot list, ingredient choices, prompt strategy — and wait for your sign-off before spending credits.

When to use Plan mode

  • Multi-image briefs — a campaign of 6 shots is worth aligning on before generating 6 images.
  • Expensive runs — higher-quality models and resolutions cost more credits per image; plan first, generate once.
  • Ambiguous briefs — when the client ask is fuzzy, let Awa propose an interpretation you can correct in words instead of in wasted generations.

When you approve a plan, Awa continues with the full original context — nothing from the planning conversation is lost in the handoff.
